City Hotel Rembrandt Square - Just Renovated - Amsterdam

close proximity to Rembrandt Square, excellent access to trams, spacious external bathroom

Navigating the steep staircase is exhausting!!! Sound insulation is abysmal, noise from restaurants and corridors permeates every corner of your room!!! Improvements are a must to align with basic hotel expectations.

Knowledgeable staff and management. Tastefully decorated unit with four- basic, a balcony, for instance.

Lots of goodies for breakfast. Well decorated and reasonably large room itself with bunk beds, great shower plus private bathroom. Location just off food places and smoking cafes and a couple of clubs...

Location was perfect.

Location was very convenient, right on one of the main squares of the city centre, although I assume it can be very noisy on weekends since it is located above a pub.

There was a strong cigarette smoke smell in the room, probably the previous guest. I think rooms should be made non-smoking!

Good location The room was clean and warm

We couldn't sleep both nights because of the noise caused by a group of people who occupied the same floor as us. They were constantly yelling, heavily knocking on doors, running up and down... Music was played inside their room so loud we felt we were lying in our beds inside a disco until 7 A.M. It was unbearable. And the staff did nothing to put an end to that. When we complained, they said they can't control it. However, that is their job, and by allowing this kind of behaviour in the hotel, they showed the same respect for the people who want to take a rest during the night (to enjoy the next day) that noisers did, which was none. I regret we didn't call the police. I would never recomend this place to a friend. You may be lucky to have quiet occupants around during your stay, but if not, don't expect staff to help you.

The location is certainly convenient, but after lugging my bags up those 66 sets of stairs, I expected a complimentary upgrade or at least a fruit basket. Not to mention, mouldy washrooms are just not classy. Can't believe I almost left a decent review, but this place really let me down.

I appreciated tastefully decorated and good-sized room in this hotel.

Had a such wonderful stay here. That was great and nice little hotel set in trendy area, near the Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam as well as Amsterdam. The room with a terrace. Had a shower, a hairdryer, and bath sheets in the bathroom. The location was particularly good and magnificent, for example, Foam Photography Museum was not too far from the property.

Great Location, Nice Staff, Clean, All Good!!!

The hotel is centrally located. Plus, the staff was patient with our large family, including our young baby.

My wife says that navigating the steep stairs was tough with our baby stroller.

the room was tastefully decorated and large with a terrace, and i slept very well. it was in a good location near the tram station.

Bad or no wifi in the room (third floor). Loudy and cold.

The location was amazin, really close to everything like museums and the train station. The staff were super nice and helped me with directions. My room was comfy and clean. It was perfect for chillin after exploring the city. And wifi was free, always a plus!

But those stairs are no joke, really steep and tough when carryin luggage. Plus, a bit noisy at night from the bars nearby.

Central, clean, friendly and helpful staff, spacious room, cool view, free wifi internet.
